Triumph Law, P.C. Sponsors SCBA’s Judge of the Year Award

Triumph Law, P.C. was a proud platinum sponsor during the Sacramento County Bar Association’s Judge of the Year event, honoring Judge Larry Brown. The SCBA held its annual event on Aug. 25 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento.

Judge Brown has served on the bench of the Sacramento County Superior Court for 12 years, having been appointed in 2010 by then-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. As a J.D. graduate from UC Davis School of Law, Judge Brown began his legal career in 1989, serving as a deputy district attorney with the Ventura County District Attorney’s office. Between 1994 and 2003, he served as the deputy executive director and later executive director for the California District Attorney’s Association.

Judge Brown’s career progressed in 2003 when he became a federal prosecutor for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California. He worked his way up to becoming the executive assistant U.S. attorney in 2009, a year before he was appointed to the Superior Court.

The Sacramento County Bar Association’s Judge of the Year event is an important opportunity for members of the community to get to know the judges who preside over their cases. It’s also a critical opportunity for attorneys to become familiar with developments regarding the court.
